Secret Barbeque Sauce

36 ounces                Ketchup

four 1/2 cups                Brown sugar

9 Tbsps.                   Heinz 57 Sauce

18 Tbsps.                 Vinegar

In a medium saucepan, bring initial three components to a boil.  Simmer for five minutes.  Add vinegar. Cool.  Retailers for weeks in airtight containers in the fridge.

This sweet and savoury barbeque sauce is remarkable on every thing.  Youngsters enjoy it!  Exceptional with steak, on chicken or as a dipping sauce for chicken nuggets.

Some favourite makes use of:

Barbequed chicken wings

Pre-boil desired quantity of chicken wings for 15 minutes.  Location on hot grill on low/medium heat. Baste with barbeque sauce.  Carry on to turn and baste with sauce till wings are completed.

Barbeque Potatoes

In a greased casserole, spot desired quantity quartered medium potatoes (I use russet or yukon gold).  Thinly slice an onion and add to the potatoes.  Place in a casserole and cover with barbeque sauce.  Dot mixture with butter.  Cover and bake in a 350 degree stirring occassionally till carried out.  If sauce gets also thick, add a tiny water to the mixture.  These potatoes are usually a favourite!

I usually make a double or triple batch of the sauce and store it in empty squeezable ketchup bottles in the fridge.  I location the sauce in good bottles with personalized lables and give as gifts.
